The news came out yesterday that Soundgarden will be headlining Lollapalooza this year.
My friend D and I laughed over it. Ten years ago we would’ve gone through hell and back to fight and claw our way to Chicago to see it.
Now, neither one of us could give a crap.
Funny how time works.

I’m actually a little surprised by that.
We were just talking about Lollapalooza last night and are probably going to go.

Well, the shenanigans of Cornell after the breakup (and subsequent fame whoring and releasing horrible music that nobody wants to buy) left a sour taste in my mouth. The more I thought about it, the less interested I was in going. Now if I knew I was going to get a 1992-era SG, I’d be there in a second.
Besides, Cameron’s been a member of Pearl Jam for more years now than SG, and I love that band more than SG now. So it’s not surprising I’ve moved on.
Also the Tadgarden reunion at the Showbox was epically more awesome than anything I can imagine for a SG reunion. (Milquetoast comes to mind.)

You and your drummer fixation.
And yeah, totally get what you’re saying about the bad music thing. Audioslave’s first album was pretty damn good — but everything else CC has touched since the Soundgarden break-up has been similar to dirty litterbox.
Tadgarden?

Tadgarden = (Soundgarden – Chris Cornell) + Tad Doyle
Article here – videos and stuff. It’s pretty awesome stuff.
