The End Of The Year

Xmas Champagne in Snow, originally uploaded by Andy Macdonald.

With tomorrow being New Year’s Eve, everyone seems to take time to reflect on the past year. Since a new decade starts in 2010, the focus has been on the past 10 years. I’d try to do that, but I’d hurt myself trying to remember back that far. So, I’m just going to rate each year.

2000 – It was alright. Saw some great concerts that year.

2001 – Crappy, and not because of 9/11.

2002 – OK. Moved not once, but twice!

2003 – Ugh. Quit the worst job I’ve had in my entire life – and I’ve shoveled pig shit before, and this job was worse.

2004 – Again, it was OK. Got to go to Vegas, that was fun.

2005 – I’m going to plead the 5th on that particular year. I did run my first 5k that year, though. Huge accomplishment for me. Plus, I started this blog in 2005, so you can just go back and read for yourself.

2006 – Pretty damn awesome. Got my own house, found my partner in crime, started the best job ever…pretty damn sweet, if you ask me.

2007 – Good. Life chugging along, nothing too exciting.

2008 – Good, but challenging. Our decision for Tim to go back to college created its own set of challenges and adjustments.

2009 – Pretty good. College is going well for Tim after he switched majors, I still love my job (and have one!) and I finally started to spread my outdoorsy wings by doing some easy hiking and planning (but ended up having to cancel) on camping. Future is looking bright.

I’ll probably do my resolutions after New Year’s Eve. I have too much to do now!!

Happy New Year!!
