That’s me from last year’s bike ride.

This year, unfortunately, my partner-in-crime Jennifer is not going to be able to do the ride this year, which is August 1-2. Details can be found on the race website.

Last year, Jen and I were part of a team that a co-worker of mine was a part of. However, since Jen and I were the “outsiders” in the group, we felt so out of the loop and disconnected from the rest of the team and we vowed this year to make our own team.

So, without Jen, I convinced Tim to be part of my “team” and it sounds like some of his friends are interested as well. It’s 55+ miles each day, and they vow that the course is easier this year, so you won’t need to be an expert to do this ride. I plan on tenting it this year too because it’s cheaper, but there are hotels available at Treasure Island, our overnight stop.

In the upcoming months, I’m going to be stumping for donations to get me to my fundraising goal. It’s a good time and a great cause and god dammit, I’m going to finish this year!
