Tonight is the one and only Vice Presidential debate. Here’s a snapshot of how different Biden and Palin are, courtesy of Katie Couric asking them two questions about Roe v. Wade and Supreme Court decisions they disagree with.
The difference is shocking.

Dear god. Even most ninth graders know what “federalist” means.
I fully support the idea that anyone can be president or vice president, but I also support the merit system and I want the best and brightest in those roles. Sarah Palin is like Dan Quayle.

@Bree - I’m with you. Lately, she’s been touting how we need a “Joe Six Pack” in the VP position and that’s just not right. I want a leader, not a buddy. I want someone who has a brain and can answer questions without sounding like a contestant in a beauty pageant that just got a question she doesn’t know the answer to so she stammers and stalls until she finds something to say. Oh wait.
@Angie: She needs more than just one class, it took her 6 years and 5 colleges to get her journalism degree!

Her response to the Supreme Court question is probably the most painful for me to watch. The newspaper response is a very close second.
If you believe that there is an inherent right to privacy in the constitution, then you cannot belive that it is up the the states to decide! If it is inherent, that means that it cannot be taken away by the states!!!!!
Jesus f-ing christ. I know she was a sportscaster and not an attorney, but soemone needs to get her into a Con Law 101 class.
