Busier Than a One-Legged Man in an Ass Kicking Contest

For those of you who listen to Tech Snark, you’ll have heard that we’re taking a few weeks off for “Spring Break”. That’s partially true.
I needed the time off for some new projects coming up the pipeline - and let’s face it, since all the recording and such for the show is happening at my house, there’s no way I can take a few weeks off with the show continuing as normal.
The first project that I’m working on is Tim’s new project, Gaming Clarity. It’s going to be a gaming news and reviews site - no podcasting involved! I’m the code monkey wrangling Wordpress into submission.
The second project I can’t talk about yet, but it’s a new podcast - and it’s going to be big. So fingers crossed on that! The release date for that project is April 6th.

This weekend, my family is having Easter, so no lazing about this weekend! TGIF!
Cool Audio Trickery

Yes, I know it’s a YouTube video - but what you need to listen to this are some headphones.
So go get some headphones, have a seat in a chair, hit “play” and close your eyes.
I was giggling non-stop when the scissors came out - I honestly felt like I was being tickled!!
Enjoy!
Don’t worry…there’s no surprises or anything like that. It’s just a “virtual haircut” and the way the audio works to make it seem like surround/virtual sound is so amazing. They even explain how they do it in the “video”.

I wish…
…that people would STFU about the gas prices. It’s about time we pay what the rest of the world pays.
…that the Democrats would make up their friggin’ mind already.
…I had a week off for vacation and not because of the flu.
…that I had an extra day per week just to do things I wanted to do.
…that fashion would move off the empire-waisted bender that it’s on right now. Goddamn.
…that it was Friday.
Back in the Land of the Living … sort of.

Most of you may not have known, but I was home sick all last week (yes, Mon-Fri and then some!) with the “2008 Death Flu Scurvy OMGWTF Sickness” (a.k.a. Influenza Type A). Went to Urgent Care on Tuesday night and was given a prescription cocktail of Tamiflu and Cheratussin and I was pretty wiped out the rest of the week. I’m still feeling a bit run down yet today.
Dear gawd, when will it end?!?

There was a report on the news this morning informing us that there are “dangerous drugs in our drinking water” - and no real follow up to those reports on the radio. I’m a big tap water drinker - if it tastes fine and doesn’t smell, I’ll drink it from the tap. My tap water’s safer than a lot of water around the world.
But, it is some cause for concern. The big contributor to this problem? People flushing old prescriptions down the toilet. I thought you were supposed to take your prescriptions until they were gone. Well, this CNN article will allow you to see the “OMG DANGEROUS” levels of drugs in your state.
Apparently, MN had caffeine. OH DEAR GOD NO! Oh wait…

This afternoon is kicking me in the butt, energy-wise. Not feeling too well.
