Recovery.

I hate recovery.
I hurt my hip nearly a month ago running. It was painful to even walk for a few days.
Now, I’m feeling fine - but I tried running on Sunday and after a 13 minute warm up and lots of stretching, I could only run for a minute and a half before that painful, knife-stabbing twinge came back.
Now I’m going to have to devise a new workout regime while I heal enough to run again. What I tried the past couple of workouts is to walk at a 4.0-4.2mph pace, throwing in some incline here and there, then doing the upper body machines and some vertical knee raises. So far, it seems to be working.
I might have to switch to cycling for the serious cardio for the summer. I need a new helmet, though. Good thing I can get one with my Super Employee Discount!
But I’m so impatient - I try to push myself rather than let myself fully heal before I give things another go. I have to remember that I’m not 18 years old anymore.
On a side note, the Nike Free shoes have been working quite well. I’m not having as much foot pain in the morning lately. Which is GOOD.
