This reminds me of an experience that a friend of mine had at my wedding actually. I have a friend out in L.A. who is doing stand-up comedy in an attempt to jump-start an acting career. At the wedding, I introduced her to another friend from D.C., an attorney, and he says, upon hearing what she does, “Say something funny.” She replied, “Do law.” He didn’t have a response.
