As of 5:36pm, I am officially on vacation!

OH HELL YEAH!!

*ahem*

Seriously, I don’t have to be back to that place until September 11. Ten glorious days off - and 8 days with my sweetie! I’m so damn excited, I can barely contain myself!!

Life is so damn good.

What the hell is this picture about, anyway?

One of my favorite Saturday Night Live skits ever:

Kevin Spacey is so awesome. Heh.

Saw things so much clearer…

Well, I seem to be emerging from the cocoon of the scurvy that I’ve had since the weekend. I think I just needed to catch up on sleep more than anything - which helped immensely.

Only two more days of work and I’m on vacation! My co-worker will be out tomorrow, so I need to use today to get a lot of stuff done, because I have the feeling that people will be scrambling to get shit done before the long 4-day weekend that the firm gives us.

Goody.

But then, Tim and I are going to have one awesome week of doing nothing but be together and having the time of our lives. Sunday we’re going down to my sister M’s house for a barbeque and hanging out with my family. But the rest of the week is pretty flexible - going to spend one day exploring downtown Minneapolis and Uptown and I’m sure there’ll be an expedition elsewhere too and probably getting a bunch of my friends together so they can finally meet the guy who has me so damn happy. Then there is the triathlon on the 9th.

I seriously cannot wait for this Saturday.

On the bright side…

I found out on Friday that we’re doing the short course triathlon!

No strenuous bike training for me! Woo!

Workin’ for a living.

What a day.

Last night, I showed up for my “6-10pm” training shift - only to be told that I was supposed to have been there at 9:45am that morning. When I said that he told me 6-10, he said that he probably did by accident - but that I could go to the training tonight from 6-10.

Works for me, but that means I have two nights in a row where I have to drive to work and not get home until after 10pm. Goody.

Considering the fact that I’m teetering on the edge of a full-blown cold, the thing I most want to do right now is sleep on my couch and sleep until Thursday.

But, alas, I’m at work and drinking fluids like a mo-fo and wishing I were dead. Naturally, since it is Monday, the Type-A personalities that I work with are on full-bore “give the assistant shitloads of work mode” right now. An example: I had to type out a novel of stuff for this legal document (because god forbid that we keep the electronic copy) and I had the longest run-on sentence in the world of 176 words. I hate legalese.

Since my brain is fuzzled with this cold/virus/scurvy battle, it’s really hard to focus on anything. Good times.

Only 5 more days until my sweetie is here! Have I mentioned that I can’t wait?

Heh. :-)

When I was looking at the blog stats today, I noticed that I have 431 posts. Not bad, considering that I’ve had the blog since June of last year - and granted, there’s quite a few “Running Logs” in there as well.

What I’m saying is that a lot has happened over the course of those 14 months. I went through some pretty hard times and some really awesome times since I bought the blogkitten.com domain back in June of 2005. All I can say is that right now, my life is pretty good. Soon, it will be even better - better than I ever could have imagined.

Yep. Things are awesome.

Got my first “shift” at the part-time job tonight - 4 hours of “training”. Considering I’ve worked for them before, I’m going to be bored out of my fucking head - but hopefully I’ll see some old co-workers there.

I really need a shower.

I love these flowers!

flowers from Tim

So beautiful and so perfectly timed and I’m so very lucky that I have this amazing man in my life. I just wish it were next Saturday right now.

As soon as he gets a job here, he’ll be here permenantly - and I am looking forward to the day when I don’t have to watch him go. Life is good.

Awwww!

I just got surprised with flowers…again! I seriously am the luckiest woman in the world!

*happy sigh*

Pictures tonight when I get them home.
